This mobile work station will give your benchtop tools the "home base" that they deserve. The substantial cabinet on wheels raises the top of most benchtop table saws to a comfortable 36" working height. Behind the table saw there's a full-size router table that you can build with pocket-hole joinery. The router table also acts as a useful outfeed table for the table saw. This rolling work station is designed to be easy to build, even for a beginning woodworker.

This woodworking project plan was originally featured in the May/June 2021 issue of Woodworker's Journal Magazine. It is now free to Rockler customers. See more Woodworker's Journal Premium Plans here.

Install the cabinet side components of the drawer slide hardware on the carcass side and divider panels before continuing the construction process, while these workpieces are still loose and can be laid flat.

Pocket-hole joints are a simple means of assembling frameworks like this router table base. Use a commonly available pocket-hole jig to bore a pair of holes on the inside faces of all the long and short rails.
