Sofa Table Desk Plan

I like working and eating while sitting on my sofa, but I don’t have a stable table surface that slide up close for my computer or food. So, making a solid and stable sofa table (you could also call it a TV tray) has been on my project list for a long time. This table features two support legs on opposite side from the sofa, so that the bottom supports can slide under a sofa or chair and the tabletop can slide over the cushions. I used Rockler Heavy-Duty Cross Dowels and Bolts to make a rock solid connection between the table legs and stretchers. These fasteners are easy to install with the Rockler Heavy-Duty Cross Dowel Drilling Jig.

Project design and plan by Alex from Bevelish Creations.

Layout the holes necessary for the Heavy-Duty Cross Dowels and Bolts in the leg support assemblies and stretchers. Then the Rockler Heavy-Duty Cross Dowel Drilling Jig to accurately bore the holes for the cross dowel hardware..
